What the label says, what the lab measured

We compare each batch’s measured content with the amount on the label. The testing is external, by an accredited laboratory.

Eight tests, one standard

Each assay answers a different question about the batch. Here is what we test, and why.

  • Purity

    Reversed-phase HPLC

Separates the peptide from related impurities and reports its share of the sample. We release a batch only at 99% purity or higher.

  • Net peptide content

    HPLC quantitation

Measures how many milligrams of peptide the vial holds, excluding water and counter-ions, and compares the result with the label claim.

  • Identity

    LC-MS (mass spec)

Confirms that the molecular mass matches the expected structure, so the vial contains the compound named on its label. Purity alone can’t show this.

  • Appearance

    Visual inspection

Checks the colour, form and integrity of the lyophilised powder and the condition of the vial seal against the release specification.

  • Contaminant screen

    Impurity profiling

Looks for residues from synthesis and handling that should not be present, and confirms that anything detected is below defined limits.

  • Heavy metals

    Elemental analysis

Screens for toxic metals such as lead and mercury, which can enter through raw materials or processing equipment. Results are compared with defined limits.

  • Sterility

    Microbial culture

Incubates a sample to check for bacterial and fungal growth. A sterile result means no viable microorganisms were detected during incubation.

  • Endotoxin

    Endotoxin assay

Measures bacterial endotoxins, which survive sterilisation and can distort cell-based results. Reported in endotoxin units (EU) per vial.

Three ways to find a report

Every certificate is tied to a lot number. Use whichever route suits you best.

  1. Search the library

Enter the compound name or the lot number from your vial label. Matching reports appear as you type.

  2. Open the product page

Each product page shows the report for the batch now shipping, plus every earlier published lot.

  3. Ask our team

Send us your order number or lot number and we’ll email you the matching certificate.

Certificates, explained

It’s the laboratory’s report for one specific batch. It records which tests were run, the method used for each and the results, together with the lot number and the test date.

Open the product page and scroll to the lab results, or search this library by lot number. The lot number is printed on your vial label. If you can’t find it, email us with your order number.

Match the lot number to your vial first. Then check purity (we release at 99% or higher), measured content against the label claim, and the identity result. The assay cards above explain what each result means.

Testing is carried out by independent laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The issuing lab is named on every report.

Every batch is tested before it is released for sale. A new lot means a new round of testing and a new certificate under its own lot number.
